oops. so maybe we shouldn’t have bought new jeans, or less pampered chef, purses, and jewelry. yeah, that’s right, i was a little worried that we’d miss the zero balance by a ways.

but after a phone call to the wf (wells fargo) i was able to switch the due date for our mazda payment to the 17th, in other words, the second half of the month. now not all of our bills are due the first of the month… we should have done that a long time ago.

we also decided that we would change our gas bill to be on the budget plan, to avoid our $230/month gas bill. now we can use the fireplace whenever we want kids! woowoo. it’s also pretty sweet that with mid-american, they review the gas usage quarterly, instead of bi-annually or annually, so if you’re usage goes down/up they can adjust it accordingly.

so don’t worry kids, we have enough cashola to pull us through until the middle of the month .

the windy city — errr….

last night was quite possibly the windiest night we’ve had in town for a long time, and while i was sitting in the sun-room chatting with erika by the fire place, i watched a significant branch (let’s say about 10′ long and about 4″ around) fall from one of our trees, and barely miss some power lines. so, if you can imagine this: i’m sitting watching that happen through a window where i can’t quite see the fence this branch is about to hit… i watch it careen, just short of probably 70 degrees straight down, toward the fence (that i can’t see remember). seconds later i hear KABOOM! and erika says… “holy shit, what was that”.

never fear, the fence made it and so did we. there’s a just a tiny little nick out of it, and no one would probably even notice unless i pointed it out — i am anal after all. i was definitely expecting it to be broken over or at least have a slat damaged pretty heavily.

so, today i got a comment on the fry-daddy entry from a couple of our dear friends, trace and aaron… ok, well, it was just trace, but i’m sure aaron would have said something too . anyway, it so good to hear from them, and so here’s the shout out:

we miss you guys alot and can’t wait for you to return to the SD. It’ll be fun to get PO and Daisy together… they’ll love each-other!

ok, back here now… we really do miss you guys, even bingo was more enjoyable with the two of you, and for everyone’s excitement, that’ right, trace, you can look forward to this too… we no have bingo — home edition!
