spam karma

// February 4th, 2005 // 1 Comment » // general

so, i’ve been getting a few spam comments on older articles as of late, so after a little digging, i’ve added a plugin to wordpress (the software that powers this blog), that assigns a karma value to each comment depending on the content of the message and how quickly it was posted. let me know if you run into any problems.

oh where, oh where has our erika gone?

to boston you say. ok, fine. you’re right. it seems to me like we never get together when erika is gone… so i had an idea. how about we all get together this time and do something really fun… maybe erika won’t leave again then.

ok, fine… so maybe it’s dumb. either way if anyone wants to get together even though our mother is away let us know, maybe this time we could really go bowling. for real.

i got accused of being irritating by my wife. and rightfully so… i seem to have this problem with thinking daisy listens and behaves better around/for me, like i know how to discipline her and heather doesn’t. i’m needing to work on that… sorry heather… i’m not doing it intentionally… but i appreciate you telling me anyway.

overall, i think daisy’s a pretty good dog… she irritates the hell out of me though when it’s this muddy outside… like have i have to give her a sponge bath that she won’t sit still for every time i let her outside… and the she somehow manages to still track mud inside, and not on the giant rug we bought for that purpose, but the carpet all around it.

work is going really great lately… just tonight i was browsing some sites and i got this popup. and i said: “damn, that girl all squished up on the right looks familiar.” as it turns out… it was stolen from an advertisement we (electricpulp) did, and i built out for CreditValet.com. (i’d show you the actual ad, but photoshop is misbehaving right now, and may be telling me that if i did show you that i might be breaking some sort of non-disclosure agreement somewhere that i don’t know about). bizarre to see someone else rip something off that you had a hand in. at least it was ripped off VERY poorly.

am i the only one getting ansy for summer… i just want to get started on all the projects around the house and outside, but don’t even want to begin them until it gets nice out. LISTEN WINTER: SHIT OR GET OFF THE POT. i’m tired of all this one day we have 8″ of snow, next we have a 55 degree day. not cool old man winter. not cool at all. we need, i think, at least one or two more good snow storms… maybe a little more than the 8″ we had… id like to see a foot or so in one night over a weekend… or a sunday night; that’d be ok too.

sounds like my little brother ben is in trouble for writing some song in which he sounds alot like a gay white guy trying to be a black rapper or something… and then he continues to spout racial slurs about some girl that his other friend sean used to date (from what i can gather…). so this girl tells the school that she feels uncomfortable coming to school, getting the police involved and whatever else. here’s my take, ben, if you’re reading. she’s a drama queen. but — you need to grow up. and talk like the white boy you are. bill cosby will even back me up

ok kids.. that’s enough for one night… i’m going to go watch the news. now.
