buster

// September 1st, 2005 // general

my childhood dog died last saturday… put to sleep because he had internal bleeding. i’ve been thinking of things i could say about that dog that ate an entire pan of brownies… but it’s hard to say anything beyond how much i loved that dog and how big a part of your life some goofy little animal can become.

i remember the first day we had buster… he decided to crap on my carpet in my room, i suppose because it was green, and proceeded to break out of the screen and run around the back yard until we came home. we used to keep him in the laundry room and boy did he hate that…

buster always loved to bark at people coming in the door, even if he knew you… he didn’t care. but he always loved you… and wanted to be close to you. buster, you will always be remembered by your family for being there when we needed you… and you will not be forgotten… we love you dog, and you will be missed.

    sorry to hear of your loss. buster really was a sweet, good natured dog.

  2. We loved Buster, too. His beautiful, expressive brown eyes…his sweet nature…his excessive fear of storms…he will not be forgotten. As you know, he lived with us for about two months before three of your family members moved in with us (we won’t go into that last part!). Having lost our Nikki, we gave him lots of love and he gave it back a hundred-fold. He had the softest fur. Just to let you know that he will always be in our hearts.

    Sorry to hear that.
