just in case anyone is still out there. the drainage and venting plumbing has tested great. no leaks. i’m hoping to get copper and the sub-floor in this weekend.

about the floor. we’ve decided not to go stone tile on the floor (we’re still a go for the shower). between the 1/4″ underlayment, 1/4″ backer board and 1/2″ of thinset and tile i think there’d be too much of a difference in floor height between the bathroom and the walkway. on a positive note, however, we may be doing a cork floor. mmm… nothing’s totally decided yet… but we’ll see. anyways. what’s going on this weekend? beuller?

heather was gone this weekend hunting with most of her family. it was pretty wierd not having her here. in fact, it kind of sucked. she had a good time though, and might actually go again. really, i probably would too if i’d seen a guy dressed like this in deadwood! p.s. heather has no comment for all the gear piled on her head in the photos. she claims simply: “it kept me warm.” the entire album of her trip can be found here.

work on the bathroom is coming along nicely (photos toward the bottom of this page.) a huge thanks out to aaron and john for coming over and volunteering their help again this weekend.

next weekend: more bathroom work and adding a railing ot aaron’s deck. nice!

i got a break of good news today. the drainage plumbing in the basement just got a whole lot easier. that said, this weekend, since heather is gone, i’ll be working all weekend on the bathroom, i hope to get the walls framed and the drainage plumbing ran, and possible the vent pipe through the roof. so, if you’re available to help and wouldn’t mind, it should be very clean work, no poop or insulation etc, and won’t be nearly as difficult as the tear down process… give me a call and let me know if you can help. word.
