   Yes, Taylor is awesome! He’s the only entertaining person on this show, and the only reason I’m watching. So great to see a genuine musician who’s so talented, passionate, and joyful about music. Way too good for this show.

   You can get his cd at http://www.lasersedgecd.com – just click on “top sellers” at the bottom and you can pay for Taylor’s cd via Paypal. I have been listening to it for a week, it’s wonderful. 7 original songs, all written by Taylor: songs are varied and melodic, bluesy, witty lyrics, and of course with his great heartfelt singing. In addition to songwriting, singing and the harmonica, he also plays the guitar. I think he’s a keeper.

   i was Taylor’s teacher in the 7th & 8th grades back in 1989-1991. He was as absolutely genuine then as he is now, from that awkward “schoolboy in love” walk to his “hands in pockets” shyness. He was a great student to teach and am glad to be a supporter of him. While there may be glizier contestants in this contest, none are as fun and genuine as Taylor!

   I’m a Dutch guy (biotechnologist, guitar player, 34 years old), watching American Idol from Kerala, India, where I live since june with my Indian girlfriend.

   I am so enchanted by Taylor Hicks…he seems truly a gem of a guy, and indeed….a born performer with a fantastic voice if you ask me. Everytime I watch another one of the A.I. programs, it’s waiting for Taylor Hicks.
   This guy’s joy gives me joy, and no bullshit…somehow tears to my eyes.

   Aww, Jazz! He also brings tears to my eyes when he sings. It’s like he’s the translator between the music and his audience. He feels the music and conveys that message to all who watch him.

   Sure, there are prettier or glitzier contestants, but none of them bring a tear to my eye out of sheer joy and passion for music. When I first saw him, I said, “He is amazing.” That led me to do a search on him and I found out he already has his own CD (Under the Radar). I ordered it and got it yesterday. It’s awesome!

   I am in awe of Taylor Hicks everytime I listen and watch him. Early on in the auditions he caught my eye…and of course he has a sound of no other. I have been in the music industry 20 plus years,he is original… there is a a genuine love for music that we all have seen and heard. I am so jealous of the folks that know him personally and have heard him live. After his performance of “Leavon” he said to a response of liking music that…”It’s Music..and if music is in your heart, you love it, breath it,…and bust your buns doing it”. Taylor you are the melody in music, you are the deliverer we have all needed….I applaud you, and hold you on a pedestal for your truthful soul that you share thruogh your love of music. You are my Idol….

   I’m from Canada and enjoy watching American Idol as well as our own Canadian Idol show. Wow … Taylor Hicks is a shining star and obviously was before American Idol. It is great for him to be on American Idol so others can see what a professional and talented person he is. The exposure is great for him. I look forward to next week just to see more of Taylor. Not too many of the contestants impress me this early in the competition, but this man certainly does. He is the real deal, full of heart and soul. I can’t help but be swallowed in his passion of music and his genuineness. Absolutely awesome.

    everyone already said it,
    ive never in my life been so enthrawled with an artist. period, what other words are there to use.
    and i dont like him just the best in the competition.
    period, as an artist. he doesnt need this competition to be come a star , he was born one.

    Taylor is the real deal. I can feel his passion for music and it just takes me in.
    I would love to have some of his original songs.
