shower: mission accomplished

that’s right… the shower’s done.  and yet, still, the project that started sometime last october, aka the bathroom, still isn’t complete. we still need a door and trim (and a final inspection… but whatev) to officially say we’re complete, but we’re close.

some might ask: what’s taken so long? well, the simple answer is money. when heather was working, and not getting paid, for 3 months we lived off of my income so pretty much everything went to bills; so that’s more-or-less why it’s been taking so long. not to mention that i’m really not in any hurry

we had our first “real” storm of the season tonight… and from our vantage point it couldn’t have been better. heather and i sat on our porch swing for most of it. about halfway through lightning snaps about a block away… honestly, it was so fast, it didn’t even look like lightning, it was a like a small explosion right in front of us and then an instant boom… i’ve never heard anything that loud in my life, it was awesome… and then, if that wasn’t enough, sparks started shooting out of the transformer right in front of our house, heather was beside herself… all in all it was a great storm watching experience!

today is heather’s birthday everyone… call her and wish her happy birthday. she wants to go see “An American Haunting” on Friday. Let us know if you want to join us… looks like a super creepy movie… should be great stuff. Let us know!

update: this was one of the worst movies i’ve ever seen. there were times when the entire theatre erupted into laughter at times that were clearly meant to be very serious… wow is all i can say. terrible.
