storms

// May 23rd, 2006 // general

we had our first “real” storm of the season tonight… and from our vantage point it couldn’t have been better. heather and i sat on our porch swing for most of it. about halfway through lightning snaps about a block away… honestly, it was so fast, it didn’t even look like lightning, it was a like a small explosion right in front of us and then an instant boom… i’ve never heard anything that loud in my life, it was awesome… and then, if that wasn’t enough, sparks started shooting out of the transformer right in front of our house, heather was beside herself… all in all it was a great storm watching experience!

    Geesh Mitch, I hope you didn’t have to comfort, console, and cuddle Heather. That storm was awesome!

    Mitch, I always think of you and Heather during a storm. We really missed thunderstorms when we lived in Seattle. Oh sure, it drizzles most of the time, but there’s hardly ever the magnificence of thunder and lightening in the midwest!

    Love you guys!

    P.S. We have left our Christmas tree up for so long that we’ve decided to just leave it until Christmas this year. No muss…no fuss…it’s ready to shine. Side note: It drives your Mom nuts…Heh.

    Hey Mitch, I’ve been looking at Ruby on Rails lately and I was wondering what kinds of tools you use to produce web sites at Electric Pulp. I’ve noticed a recent upswing in the use of stuff like RoR and Ajax and I was wondering if you have ever used/dabbled in that kind of stuff. You’re pretty much the only person I know that does this stuff professionally so I wanted your expert opinion on these fancy new technologies.

    Sorry this comment was completely unrelated to your post :D
