just so its clear i (heather) did not post anything about cameras... i dont know enough about them. mitch is going undercover and trying to pass himself off as me!
the canon 40d has the weather sealing and a point and shoot. i didnt know that mitch about most cameras so i will check out the nikon too thanks guys!
if you're looking in that price range, don't forget to look at the nikon and the pentax's too -- the pentax k20 will get you weather sealing, and a live view lcd (like a point and shoot) the rest of these cameras will force you to look through the viewfinder when taking shots... that's how 99% of slr's work. if you already know this, you can tell me to shutup whenever, but alot of people aren't aware of that. in the nikon be sure to checkout the d80... the more reading you can do, the better!
