weddings
we’ll start with the happy stuff. my long-time and very good friends jon and kendra are (finally) getting married. jon proposed on christmas eve in proper form… and much to his suprise… kendra said no yes. in all seriousness, we couldn’t be happier for them, they’ve been great friends to us, and jon’s been with me through some really great times even when they weren’t so great. if you see them, wish them the best… because, well, they are. (wow all that sounds really gay — but i mean it.)
death
heather’s grandmother recently passed, it was certainly a sad and trying time for most of the family… especially her surviving husband and her two daughters (heather’s mom and aunt) who stayed with her for almost two complete (and mostly silent) weeks. it was hard to see elvera (heather’s grandma) like that for me… she was always so fiesty and full of energy… she was a strong woman with a great heart and she will be missed as much as she was loved while she was here… her legacy lives in her daugthers and her husband. elvira… we love you dearly and miss you greatly.
reunions
happy stuff again. the “roomates” are all getting back together in february here. our well travelled, michael iedema will be returning from germany in feb. to reunite with his long lost brothers… i think i speak for everyone (me, jon, berger, jordan, phil, and mike) when i say that we’re pretty excited to be back together — i thought it’d be funny to go back up to the old house and walk through it… wierd we all lived in that house… and loved eachother so didn’t kill eachother.
new years
we rang the new year in with style… friends, food, a little drinkie, and frankly… dogs with antlers… photos here.
bathroom updates you say? (like anyone really gives a sh…oot.)
well, the bathroom is coming along nicely… the floor is down, vanity and toilet are both in and useable… trust me — i know. you can find some pictures here on pages 4 and 5
